See here my nemesis. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this camera since I bought it. We’ve already heard that gripe so I won’t go over it again. However, I’m really stubborn and refuse to give up easily on any camera. My latest attempt to find common ground with the Fuji is the purchase of the XF 27mm f/2.8 . While this isn’t my first pancake lens for the Fuji *cough* Industar 69 *cough*, it has its good points.First, it’s pretty compact. This gives it a huge weight advantage over the XF 35mm f/1.4 I also have. It feels ten pounds lighter, and isn’t front-heavy. It’s also more stealthy; there’s not a big honking lens protruding from it to intimidate. Industar 69Image quality is really spot on. In fact, minus the bokeh possibilities of the XF 35, this lens is sick! The images are sharp and the focus is fast. I’m actually struggling to find any downsides to this lens (besides the odd filter size (39mm). I picked it up from Hong Kong for $200. It retails for a bit more, so shop around. If you’re in the market for big image results in a compact lens, this might just be the lens.
